Hockey Drill – Multiple Shots and Elements

Multiple Shots & Elements Drill – D Retrieve a spotted Puck.

On the whistle, the forward (blue) leaves with a puck and skates towards the D (red) letting the D come up and then pivots to backwwards.

The forward passes (pass 1) to the D (ensuring the D is skating backwards with his/her stick on the ice). The D immediately touch passes (pass 2) the puck back to the forward who goes in and shoots (shot 1).

Right after the shot, the forward circles to the boards, skates up and out into the neutral zone, while the D retreats deep across into the corner to retrieve a spotted/loose puck, then skates it straight up and outside the zone.

The D (red) passes (pass 3) the puck to the forward into the neutral zone, who turns up the ice, goes in and shoots (shot 2), then sets a screen in front of the goalie awaiting a point shot.

After the 3rd pass, the Defenceman follows up to the middle of the blue line, stops, receives a pass from the coach in the corner and shoots (shot 3) through the screen.

Notes: Both ends go simultaneously. / Timing / Accurate Passes / Remember to switch sides.
